RULE: 5 – OUT-OF-GAUGE: EXTRA LENGTH/HEIGHT/WIDTH CARGO SERVICE & CHARGES Eff: 23JUL2018

The application of Extra Length, Height or Width Cargo will
be governed by the following provisions and conditions:
     
a. CARGO TENDERED TO CARRIER IN/ON OCEAN CONTAINERS:
   Cargo, subject to the rates, charges and provisions
   named in this Tariff, when tendered to Carrier already
   loaded in/on ocean containers or transporting equipment
   will NOT be subject to any Extra Length, Height or Width
   Charges, PROVIDED all cargo loaded in/on such equipment
   is In-Gauge.  However, Carrier reserves the right to
   refuse to accept any shipment loaded in/on a COL, SOL or
   underlying VOCC container that contains pieces, packages
   or units which are not, or cannot be, wholly loaded
   within the inside of a single closed container and/or
   which is Out-of-Gauge (i.e. overhangs any side of a Drop
   Frame, Flatbed, FlatRack or Platform Container; OR which
   exceeds 8ft 6in in height when loaded in/on a COL, SOL
   or underlying VOCC Equipment.  Further, unless prior
   booking and special arrangements have been made with and
   accepted by the Carrier, Carrier will NOT provide COL or
   underlying VOCC Flat Rack, Open Top or similar equipment
   to handle out-of-gauge cargo, or accept such cargo
   loaded in/on SOL equipment.  Any fines or penalties
   imposed as a result of the misapplication or
   misstatement of actual cargo dimensions on the B/L
   and/or other Shipping Documents will be for the account
   of the cargo.
    
b. Shipments containing individual pieces, packages or
   units which cannot be loaded wholly within the inside of
   a single closed container and/or which are classified as
   out-of-gauge (see paragraph c. below), will be accepted
   by the Carrier for transportation ONLY after special
   arrangement and prior booking, and will be SBJ to the
   applicable Extra Length, Height or Width Charges named
   below, which charge shall be in addition to all other
   applicable charges.  Shipper MUST provide a complete
   description, including all dimensions and gross weight,
   of any article classified as out-of-gauge (see paragraph
   c.), at the time cargo is booked with Carrier.
     
c. OUT-OF-GAUGE CARGO TENDERED TO CARRIER ON FLAT RACK,
    FLAT BED, PLATFORM EQUIPMENT:
   Except as otherwise provided in individual TLIs (rate
   Items), Out-of-Gauge cargo, SBJ to the rates, charges
   and provisions named in this Tariff, when tendered to
   Carrier on Flat Rack, Flat Bed or Platform equipment
   which is accepted for transportation will be SBJ to the
   applicable Extra Length, Extra Width or Extra Height
   Charges named below, which charge shall be in addition
   to all other applicable charges.
   
 1. EXTRA LENGTH:
    A. LCL: Cargo that is received and carried as Less-Than-
      Container-Load Cargo and the nature of the Cargo is:
  
     i. Between 120 inches (10ft.) and 234 inches (19ft.6in.)
        in length will be SBJ to an Extra Length Surcharge of:
  
         USD0.63 per CFT, SBJ to a M/C of USD50.00 per
                           Shipment/Warehouse Receipt
  
    ii. More than 234 inches (19ft6in) in length will be SBJ
        to the Extra Length Surcharge below.  Such cargo will
        be carried and moved on a space available basis ONLY.
        This charge will NOT apply on LCL Over Dimensional
        Cargo when the Customer/Shipper chooses to move Cargo
        in an Exclusive Use 40ft. Consolidated Container.
  
         USD250.00 Flat Lump Sum LCL Over Dimensional Surcharge.
  
   B. FCL: Cargo not exceeding the virtual length of
      the transporting equipment (19’6" long for 20 ft.
      equipment and 39’6"for 40 ft. equipment) will NOT be
      SBJ to any Extra Length Charges.  Cargo exceeding the
      virtual length of the transporting equipment will be
      SBJ to the following charges:
    
     i. Cargo loaded on 20 ft. equipment exceeding 19’6" but
        Not Exceeding 23′ will be SBJ to an Extra Length
        Charge of US$270.00 per Flat Bed, Flat Rack or
        Platform equipment utilized.  Carrier requires that
        cargo exceeding 23′ to be loaded on 40′ equipment.
    
    ii. Cargo loaded on 40 ft. equipment exceeding 39’6" but
        Not Exceeding 43′ will be SBJ to an Extra Length
        Charge of US$270.00 per Flat Bed, Flat Rack or
        Platform equipment utilized.  Cargo exceeding 43′
        will be accepted and transported only by special
        request and after prior booking with Carrier.
    
 2. EXTRA HEIGHT: Cargo not exceeding the virtual height of
    the transporting equipment (8’6" high) will NOT be SBJ
    to any Extra Height Charges.  Cargo exceeding the
    virtual height of the transporting equipment will be
    SBJ to the following charge:
    
   i. Cargo loaded on 20 ft. or 40 ft. equipment exceeding
      8’6" high will be SBJ to an Extra Height Charge of
      US$450.00 per Flat Bed, Flat Rack or Platform
      equipment utilized.
    
 3. EXTRA WIDTH: Cargo not exceeding the virtual width of
    the transporting equipment (8′ wide) will NOT be SBJ
    to any Extra Width Charges.  Cargo exceeding the
    virtual Width of the transporting equipment will be
    SBJ to the following charges:
    
   i. Cargo exceeding 8′ Wide but Not Exceeding 9′ will be
      SBJ to an Extra Width Charge of US$270.00 per Flat
      Bed, Flat Rack or Platform equipment utilized.
     
  ii. Cargo exceeding 9′ Wide but Not Exceeding 10′ will be
      SBJ to an Extra Width Charge of US$450.00 per Flat
      Bed, Flat Rack or Platform equipment utilized.
     
 iii. Cargo exceeding 10′ Wide but Not Exceeding 12′ will
      be SBJ to an Extra Width Charge of US$900.00 per Flat
      Bed, Flat Rack or Platform equipment utilized.
     
  iv. Cargo exceeding 12′ wide will be accepted and
      transported only by special request and after prior
      booking with Carrier.
    
 4. When Cargo is classified as out-of-gauge in 2 or more
    dimensions, Carrier will assess each of the
    out-of-gauge charges named herein separately (i.e.
    Cargo over height and over width will be SBJ to BOTH
    the Extra Height Charge named in paragraph c.2. AND the
    Extra Width Charge named in paragraph c.3).
